SSH client can be downloaded from To install, do the following:

  1. tar xzvf openssh-3.6.tgz
  2. cd ssh
  3. make obj
  4. make cleandir
  5. make depend
  6. make
  7. make install
  8. cp /etc/ssh/ssh_config /etc/ssh/ssh_config_backup
  9. cp /etc/ssh/sshd_config /etc/ssh/sshd_config_backup
  10. cp ssh_config sshd_config /etc/ssh
  11. mkdir /var/empty
  12. To use, do type the following:

    ssh -l username remote_address
    ssh -l user
    ssh -l user -p 22
