Strength is power, force, might, vigor, potency – the capacity to withstand adversity and to influence or control circumstances. Most often, we associate strength with "physical" ability; however, strength of character and strength of will have more far-reaching consequences. Character and will lead to the source of strength.
A basic level of strength is necessary to exist in this reality. Nature places tension on our bodies, while the complex of events and relationships stress intellect. To survive requires the ability to contribute to the dynamic tension of life, to manage and manipulate opposing forces. To stand we resist the pull of gravity. To move we overcome the inertia of a body at rest. Living requires strength.
Beyond vitality needed to live, move, and grow humans have and further seek the aptitude to influence the environment and the circumstances of existence. People desire strength of body, of mind, of will ultimately to manipulate life.
While people desire strength, often they misdirect and squander it. Instead of leveraging strength people waste their capacity, resisting the energy of life. People fear change, fear the unknown, so instead of moving harmoniously with life on to the next adventure, many choose to stand at odds, oppose what is - resist. This resistance drains strength and consumes life. An unwillingness to proceed exhausts.
Seemingly weak, people determine they need more strength to overcome external obstacles when in reality the impediments lie within. The force that binds, is the effort an individual applies resisting the energy, the flow of life. Only by joining in harmony with the energy of life do people realize their full potential. Aligning with the energy of life is the remedy for exhaustion.
Strength is the ingredient required to take up a challenge - to face an obstacle. When adversity rises into awareness - that is, when a hardship beyond mere inconvenience or nuisance stands to challenge intention, direction, or quite possibly existence - strength is essential. But remember this - all the strength you need is available to you. You can overcome any obstacle, meet any challenge, face any adversity by aligning yourself with the energy of life - with the power of spirit.
All the strength you need to succeed - to live a full and fulfilling life - is accessible to you. The energy, strength, power of this dynamic universe are yours to command. To access strength don't look out there, for strength is found within. Your character, your will, your intention reveal all the necessary sources of strength available to you. If you feel weak, lack power and seem unable to proceed stop resisting. Use your strength to fulfill your purpose, for in truth you have all the strength you need.
